Remote support via screen sharing.

You call, share your screen and we solve the problem together. No installation on a Chromebook, two minutes of setup on Windows and Mac. You watch every step and end the session whenever you like.

How remote support works.

Four steps, and we stay on the phone for each of them. The labels below appear exactly like this on your screen.

  1. 1

    Call us

Call or write on WhatsApp. We briefly clarify what it is about and stay on the line.

  2. 2

    Open the page

Click “Share my screen” above. Google’s remote support page opens. If it asks you to sign in, use your Google account.

  3. 3

    Read out the code

Click “Generate code”. You see twelve digits. Read the code to us or send it on WhatsApp. It is valid for five minutes.

  4. 4

    Share

Chrome asks whether VEZOZA may see your screen. Click “Share”. From now on we work together and you see every move. “Stop sharing” closes the session immediately.

The first time: two minutes of setup.

Google needs a small extension in Chrome for this. The page asks for it by itself, you only confirm. The second time this step is gone.

Chromebook

Nothing to install. Open the page, “Generate code”, done.

Windows

Chrome asks for the “Chrome Remote Desktop” extension: confirm “Add”. Then a small installer downloads. Double-click it and answer “Yes” when Windows asks. Then go back to the page.

Mac

Confirm the extension, then open and install the downloaded package. macOS asks for “Screen Recording” and “Accessibility”: allow both for Chrome Remote Desktop in System Settings, otherwise we only see a black picture.

Everything runs most reliably in the Chrome browser. Microsoft Edge usually works as well, Firefox and Safari do not. If it still gets stuck, we stay on the phone and go through the steps together.

What remote support costs.

Frequently asked questions

What do you see of my screen?

Everything you see, for as long as the session runs. Close windows that are none of our business beforehand, such as online banking or private messages. We only take over mouse and keyboard if you want us to, and we say what we are doing before we do it.

Is the session recorded?

No. Neither we nor Google store video or audio of the session. We only note date, duration and reason for invoicing and the operations manual.

How do I end the session?

Click “Stop sharing” in the bar at the bottom of the screen, or close the browser tab. After that no connection is possible, the code is used up. Chrome also asks every 30 minutes whether sharing should continue.

Do you have access to my files or passwords?

Only to what you open on screen during the session. We install no permanent access, receive no admin rights and no credentials; after “Stop sharing” nothing of ours remains on your device. On Chromebooks everything runs in the browser anyway.

Can you connect later without me?

No. Every session needs a new code that only you can generate, plus your click on “Share”. We do not set up permanent access.

What does remote support cost?

For clients with Workspace management, the scope of the management contract applies: remote support is part of it, within the agreed time budget. Without a contract it costs 115 € per hour, billed in 15-minute increments, net, VAT may apply. Before we start we take your company name and billing address.

Which devices work?

Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks with the Chrome browser. Phones and tablets can display these instructions but cannot share their screen. There we help by phone or video call.

Do I need a Google account?

Yes, the Google page requires you to sign in. Workspace clients use their company account. If you do not have one, we help by phone or video call.

Is the connection secure?

The connection is encrypted, the code works once and only for five minutes, and nothing happens without your click on “Share”. Chrome Remote Desktop is Google’s own tool and runs in the browser you already use.
